NCSA - National Center for Supercomputing
Applications. One of the NSF's supercomputer centers at the University
of Illinois where the first popular web browser, NCSA Mosaic, was created.
Netiquette - Short for internet etiquette.
Newbie - Someone who is new to the internet.
NSF - National Science Foundation. An
organization that constructed several supercomputer sites in the late
1980s and linked them via wide are networks, causing the popularization
of the internet among universities and major corporations.
NT - Microsoft Windows NT. A network operating
system. Oddly enough, NT is not an acronym, and Microsoft has never explained
what it stands for. Some think it means "new technology."
